Linsey Corbin

Linsey Corbin, formerly Linsey Pickell, has made a name for herself among the ranks of the pro triathletes. Linsey started the 2006 season as an amateur but her 3rd place finish at Wildflower indicated that she was ready to turn pro. Linsey’s bike split at Wildflower was the same as Ironman legend Natascha Badman and Samantha McGlone. Linsey turned pro shortly after Wildflower and went on to win her first half Ironman race as a pro by setting a new course record and new bike course record at the Oliver Half Ironman.

Linsey then set her sites on Ironman Coeur D’ Alene, which was her first Ironman distance race. Linsey finished an impressive 7th overall in her Ironman debut and qualified for the Ford Ironman World Championships in Kona Hawaii. Five weeks before Hawaii, Linsey was hit by a SUV while on a training ride and suffered a broken collar bone. Showing her incredible toughness, Linsey fought through the injury and found herself at the start line in Hawaii. Despite her accident, Linsey finished 23rd overall in a time of 10:06.

Linsey Corbin - Ironman World Championship Race Report 2009

October 28th, 2009
A big Howdy - post - Aloha - from Montana! It has taken me a few days to gather my thoughts about the Ironman World Championships that took place last weekend. What a remarkable day (that many of you were there to witness) that took place. Last Saturday I completed my 4th Ironman World Championship crossing the finish line in 11th place. I certainly did not have the race that I dreamed of out there, but Saturday was a good reminder of how tough this sport really is. Particularly the event in Kona.

Linsey Corbin - Calgary 70.3 race report

August 26th, 2009
I am back home in Montana after our trip to the Calgary 70.3. What a great event it was. What a great race (for me) it wasn't. Ahhh, such is life. Actually, I raced pretty well, the problem is that the competition keeps raising the bar and getting better and better. All in all, this is great for sport. I have lots of things to be happy about: I am injury free. I am training well for Kona. I have a great support network - Chris, my family, sponsors, Lance, Missoula friends, my pup Madison. I love my job. I get to travel to new places and meet all sorts of inspiring new people.

Hola mis amigos! The 2009 race season is upon us. Hard to believe! I raced the Pucon 70.3 in Chile over the weekend, and came second, for the second year in a row. As I told the race director, Pedro: I will be back!! I will win this race!

Corbin wins Subaru Vancouver International Half Iron

September 18th, 2007
September 16, 2007 (Vancouver, BC) Linsey Corbin, of the United States, and Ukraine’s Team Timex Member Andriy Yastrebov reigned victorious at the inaugural Subaru Vancouver International Half Iron today. The beautiful view of Vancouver and the coastal mountains from Jericho Beach served as the perfect backdrop for the third and final stop of the Subaru West Coast Triathlon Series.

Linsey Corbin – Baja 70.3 Champion

June 14th, 2007
Buenos Noches! I am fresh of my first (of hopefully many) 70.3 win and I couldn’t be happier. I made my first trip down to Baja, Mexico this past weekend and raced my hardest to come away with the win on a challenging course.
