Leanda Cave - 2009 Escape From Alcatraz race report

October 28th, 2009
Escape from Alcatraz was no disappointment this year, despite not taking the win for a 3rd time. I was very happy with 2nd. The weekend prior I raced in the Rev 3 Triathlon (half ironman distance) in Connecticut. That was a bit of a disaster, as I trained pretty much through it. I ended up in 7th place. It was one very toughest races I have done, over a super hilly bike and run course, and as I found out, not the sort of race you dont want to do on tired legs.

Linsey Corbin - Ironman World Championship Race Report 2009

October 28th, 2009
A big Howdy - post - Aloha - from Montana! It has taken me a few days to gather my thoughts about the Ironman World Championships that took place last weekend. What a remarkable day (that many of you were there to witness) that took place. Last Saturday I completed my 4th Ironman World Championship crossing the finish line in 11th place. I certainly did not have the race that I dreamed of out there, but Saturday was a good reminder of how tough this sport really is. Particularly the event in Kona.

Linsey Corbin - Calgary 70.3 race report

August 26th, 2009
I am back home in Montana after our trip to the Calgary 70.3. What a great event it was. What a great race (for me) it wasn't. Ahhh, such is life. Actually, I raced pretty well, the problem is that the competition keeps raising the bar and getting better and better. All in all, this is great for sport. I have lots of things to be happy about: I am injury free. I am training well for Kona. I have a great support network - Chris, my family, sponsors, Lance, Missoula friends, my pup Madison. I love my job. I get to travel to new places and meet all sorts of inspiring new people.

This year however, Loeffler decided to commit herself to a three month long stint in Tucson Arizona under the guidance of her new coach Cliff English.

Leanda Cave - 2008 season wrap up

January 22nd, 2009
I am currently enjoying my time out in Cairns, Australia after a year that saw some great results, good results, and ones I would rather forget. Its really nice to chill out and see my parents for the first time in a couple of years. They have been my biggest fan well before I took the road of being a professional triathlete.
